FULL CAST ANNOUNCED FOR WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF?

We’re excited to introduce you to the full cast of our upcoming Made At Curve production of Edward Albee’s thrilling drama, WHO’S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF?

Joining the previously announced Bafta winner and Golden Globe nominee Cathy Tyson (MY FAIR LADY, THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST, Curve) as Martha will be Patrick Robinson (AS YOU LIKE IT, Theatre Royal Bath, CASUALTY, BBC) as George, Martha’s disillusioned husband. Patrick will be making his Curve debut, having previously performed for the Royal Shakespeare Company, National Theatre and Chichester Festival Theatre.

Taking on the roles of Nick and Honey, the young couple drawn into George and Martha’s dysfunctional world, will be George Kemp (JACK ABSOLUTE FLIES AGAIN, National Theatre, BRIDGERTON, Netflix) and Tilly Steele (DR WHO, BBC One, VICTORIA, Mammoth/ITV).

WHO’S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF? plays exclusively in Leicester from Saturday 18 October to Saturday 8 November.

David Seadon-Young sings Edelweiss from THE SOUND OF MUSIC

After charming audiences as Henry Higgins in our five-star 2024 production of MY FAIR LADY, David Seadon-Young returns to our stage this year to play Captain von Trapp in Rodgers and Hammerstein’s glorious musical THE SOUND OF MUSIC.

Matilda

Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?

Immerse yourself in Edward Albee‘s epoch-defining masterpiece WHO’S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF? exclusively at Curve this Autumn.

It’s 2am. Locked in a destructive cycle of love and self-loathing, history professor George and his wife Martha return home drunk from a party. As they draw naive young couple Nick and Honey into their bitter and warped world, what starts as a casual nightcap soon turns into a dangerous cocktail of truths and games.

Winner of five Tony Awards including Best Play, the 1966 film starring Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton won multiple awards, including the British Academy Award for Best Film. Widely regarded as Albee’s most important work, the play is a witty, hugely entertaining, provocative and lacerating study of a marriage in crisis.

This must-see Made at Curve drama is directed by Curve’s Associate Director Cara Nolan (ROAD, PRIDE AND PREJUDICE).

CQ Earlies

On the second Saturday of each month, we host CQ Earlies – fun, free, and creative sessions for children and families.

This month, let’s get our vocal chords going with an introduction to voice with Mary Bonam. Join Mary to discover your inner voice, how to use it to create characters and also make beautiful music with it.

The workshop will culminate in creating a group vocal orchestra!

Learn with top artists in Curve Classroom

Since January, we’re proud to have supported home-schooling during the third national lockdown with our educational initiative, Curve Classroom.

The free sessions cover a range of topics for all ages and are delivered by a host of leading artists including performers Molly Lynch, Garry Robson and Hareet Deol, Designers Grace Smart and Kate Unwin, Director Julia Thomas, Choreographers Arlene Phillips and Mel Knott, Writers Jess Green and Rob Ward, as well as a number of Midlands-based artists local to Curve in Leicester.
